GES Announces Date for 2024 Teacher Recruitment Portal with Essential Guidelines

The Ghana Education Service (GES) is gearing up to open its doors to a significant number of qualified teachers for the upcoming academic year 2023/2024, fulfilling its commitment to bolstering the education sector. 


The highly anticipated GES Recruitment portal for 2024 is slated to go live by the end of February, 2024, signaling a promising opportunity for both trained Diploma and Degree teachers.


Aspiring teachers eager to join the GES family should keep a close eye on the official announcement specifying the batches of qualified teachers eligible to apply. The recruitment process will be facilitated through the official GES website for recruitment at gespromotions.gov.gh.


However, before embarking on this exciting journey, potential recruits must familiarize themselves with the terms and conditions set by the GES. These include;

1. Mandatory pass  in he Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE).

2. Completion of the mandatory one-year national service.

3. Readiness to make a positive impact anywhere in the country GES assigns them.


To ensure a seamless application process, prospective teachers should prepare the necessary documents. These include 

1 Birth certificates.

2. WASSCE and BECE certificates.

3. National Service Certificate

4. GTLE certificate (Certified NTC License)

4. Either a Bachelor’s Degree in Basic Education Certificate or a Degree in Specialized Education Certificate.


Upon successful selection, recruits must present additional documents at their Regional Education Office, including 

1. CoE/University certificates.

2.  SSNIT biometrics.

3. Valid ID cards, and birth certificates. 

4. Don't forget your bank account details for your take-home salary.
