The recently inaugurated High Court, graced by the eminent Chief Justice Gertrude Sackey Torkornoo, stands tall as a testament to the unwavering commitment to fairness and accessibility.
Rising gracefully, the newly constructed one-story structure not only symbolizes the solemnity of the Judiciary but also embodies the collective spirit of the State. With meticulous planning and foresight, it caters to the needs of Mampong and its surrounding communities, including Juaben, Effiduase Asokore, Nsuta, Ejura Sekyedumase, and Agona.
Stepping inside, one is greeted by a meticulously designed interior, adorned with two courtrooms, two registries, and ample office space. From the Judge’s Chambers to the offices for Cashiers and bailiffs, every detail is crafted to facilitate seamless justice administration. Moreover, provisions like the ADR Room and facilities for the physically impaired reflect a commitment to inclusivity and fairness.
Beyond its architectural grandeur, the High Court embraces sustainability with a five KVA Solar Power facility and a 40 KVA Generator Set, ensuring uninterrupted power supply. A borehole stands ready to guarantee a consistent water supply, further enhancing operational efficiency.
During the inauguration, Chief Justice Torkornoo emphasized the paramount importance of access to justice, particularly for the vulnerable segments of society. She underscored the need for integrity within the Judicial Service, setting a high standard for ethical conduct and transparency.
Acknowledging the collaborative effort behind this milestone, Justice Torkornoo expressed gratitude to her predecessors and local leaders for their invaluable support. Daasebre Osei Bonsu II's call for a Circuit Court resonated deeply, reflecting the community's aspirations for enhanced judicial services.
As the DACF Administrator lauded the governmental branches for their contributions, Mampong's Municipal Chief Executive commended the generosity of local leaders in facilitating the construction of this monumental edifice.
