Among those arrested, six were detained in Kasoa, Central Region, while two were apprehended in Ashaiman, Greater Accra Region, and another in Nkawkaw, Eastern Region, all for perpetuating these deceptive narratives.

The remaining individuals are currently under Police inquiry bail and are slated for court arraignment in the near future, as confirmed by the Police authorities.
Expressing grave concern over the rising trend of such deceitful claims, the Ghana Police Service issued a stern warning to the public against engaging in such criminal conduct, which not only jeopardizes the safety of innocent individuals but also disrupts public peace.
The statement further emphasized, "We wish to caution the public against such criminal conduct that is likely to harm innocent people as well as disturb the public peace."
